About the Swedish Corporate Governance Board
The role of the Board is to promote the development of Swedish corporate governance. A key aspect of this mission is to ensure that Sweden has a relevant, modern and effective corporate governance code for listed companies. As well as its primary task – managing the Swedish Corporate Governance Code – the Board works to increase knowledge and understanding of Swedish corporate governance, not least in the international capital market. It does this by participating in the general debate in the field and by providing information in a wide range of contexts regarding the Code and Swedish corporate governance.
The Swedish Corporate Governance Board is one of the five executive bodies of the Association for Generally Accepted Principles in the Securities Market. The other executive bodies are:
- The Swedish Securities Council (Aktiemarknadsnämnden)
- The Stock Market Self-Regulation Committee (Aktiemarknadens självregleringskommitté)
- The Council for Swedish Financial Reporting Supervision (Nämnden för svensk redovisningstillsyn)
- The Swedish Corporate Reporting Board (Rådet för hållbarhets- och finansiell rapportering)
