New members of the Swedish Corporate Governance Board

The board of the Association for Generally Accepted Principles in the Securities Market has appointed Nina Macpherson and Andreas Gustafsson to the Swedish Corporate Governance Board.

Nina Macpherson is a member of a number of boards, including Scania AB and Traton SE. She has long experience of executive management at Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson and has been a member of the Swedish Securities Council for over ten years.

Andreas Gustafsson is Senior Adviser at Nasdaq and a member of the CityUK International Regulatory Strategy Group. His previous roles include Senior Vice President and General Counsel Europe at Nasdaq and Chairman of the Board of Nasdaq Stockholm AB. He has participated in the Swedish Corporate Governance Board’s work as a co-opted  member for over ten years.

"Nina Macpherson and Andreas Gustafsson have deep knowledge of corporate governance and extensive experience of regulatory issues and the self-regulation of the Swedish securities market,” says Annika Lundius, Chair of the Association for Generally Accepted Principles in the Securities Market. “We are extremely pleased that they have accepted our invitation to join the Corporate Governance Board, and their long and broad experience will be of great value to its work."

The other members of the Swedish Corporate Governance Board are Carl-Henric Svanberg (Chair), Håkan Broman (Deputy Chair), Karin Apelman, Tomas Flodén, Mats Isaksson, Louise Lindh, Marianne Nilsson and Björn Kristiansson (Executive Director).
 

About the Swedish Corporate Governance Board

The Swedish Corporate Governance Board is one of five executive bodies that constitute the Association for Generally Accepted Principles in the Securities Market.

The role of the Board is to promote the positive development of Swedish corporate governance, mainly by ensuring that Sweden constantly has a modern, relevant and effective code for corporate governance of stock exchange listed companies. Alongside its main task of managing the Swedish Corporate Governance Code, the Board works to increase awareness and understanding of Swedish corporate governance and the Swedish securities market, not least in the international capital market. The Board is also a referral body on legislative matters within the field of corporate governance.
